Good news for the government servants and pensioners! The government will grant a half-month bonus of minimum rm500 for government servants and pensioners. The bonus will be paid in the middle of the month before Hari Raya, which falls at 30 August.
It will be a cheerful Raya for many civil servants who have been rewarded with a half month’s bonus.
On behalf of all civil servants, I would like to express my grartitude to the Prime Minister and to Cuepacs, who requested the bonus.
I think the kind gesture by the Government should be appreciated by all government servants and pensioners who will be getting the RM500 ‘duit raya’.
The timely gift will definitely help to offset preparations for the coming Hari Raya as prices of essential goods have been spiralling. Non-Muslims are also facing hard times.
Once again, I thank the PM for the ‘red packet’.
